A note from the founder

Hi, my name is Jay, founder of TaxAssembly.

TaxAssembly is a tax simulation platform for college tax classes.

When I was an accounting student, I struggled in tax courses. We learned through long textbook readings and paragraph-style problems, and it was hard to visualize how tax actually worked in practice.

But when I first worked as an accountant, I felt lost.

I wasn't handed clean numbers ready for calculation.

I was handed messy client documents and sticky notes.

That real-world experience helped me finally understand tax better, and later helped me pass the EA and CPA exams.

That's why I built TaxAssembly.

Professors assign pre-made client cases that match their lesson plans. Students work through mock client files using realistic tax forms and workflow-style exercises, so they can see, think, and work like real accountants.

Our goal is to bridge the gap between the college tax classroom and the real tax world, and help students become more confident and job-ready.

Thank you :)

Warmly,

Jay
